What is àlex?
àlex is a private sanctuary for the five to ten people you are already close to. It is not a place to meet new people or grow a following. It is a quiet space for your inner circle to stay attuned without the noise of a traditional social network.
Who is àlex for?
àlex is for anyone who values depth over volume in their friendships. It is especially useful if you experience notification fatigue, social burnout, or simply want a calmer way to keep the people who matter most in your orbit.
Is àlex available on Android?
Right now, àlex is focused on iOS during our private beta. We are building carefully and listening closely to our founding members before expanding to other platforms.
How do I get access?
Access is invite-based through the waitlist. Join with your email, confirm your address, and we will send you an invite when your place is ready.
Privacy & data
Who can see my mood check-ins?
Your check-ins and mood signals are only visible to the people in your circle. They are not public, searchable, or visible to anyone you have not explicitly connected with.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. We do not run ads inside àlex.
Can other users find me by name?
No. There is no public directory and no search-by-name feature. You connect with people through a private, mutual invitation.

How do I delete my account?

Waitlist mechanics
How do I join the waitlist?
Enter your email in the form on the homepage and click join waitlist. We will send a confirmation email to verify your address.
What happens after I confirm?
Once you confirm your email, you are added as a founding member. We will email you when your invite is ready.
When will I get access?
We are in active development and invites are released in batches. We do not have a fixed public launch date yet, but we will write to you as soon as your spot is available.
What if I already signed up?
If you try to join again with the same email, we will simply let you know you are already on the list.

What is a Sanctuary Partner?
A Sanctuary Partner is an independent London venue, studio, or workshop featured in our Concierge Hub. These are places where àlex members can step outside the screen and meet in real life.
What kind of venues do you feature?
We look for low-noise environments with intention: independent cafés, artisan studios, wine cellars, wellness workshops, and other spaces that feel like a refuge from the city.
How does it help my business?
Sanctuary Partners reach a high-intent, local audience who are actively looking for meaningful offline experiences. You bypass noisy algorithms and connect directly with people who value your kind of space.
How do I apply?
Fill out the partner form on the homepage under Partner with us. We will review your venue and be in touch within a few days.
